These Terms of Service apply to all orders placed through this website.

This store is operated by Schnauzer B.V., trading as De Vuurtoren rond (Around the Lighthouse). Throughout the site, the terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to De Vuurtoren rond.

By visiting our website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms of Service, together with our Refund Policy and Privacy Policy.

1. Products

We sell the book De Vuurtoren rond and related products, such as prints or other limited items if made available.

We make every effort to describe and photograph our products accurately. However, colours, paper texture, materials and appearance may vary slightly from what you see on your screen.

Product availability may be limited. We reserve the right to change or discontinue products, prices or promotions at any time, but changes will not affect orders that have already been confirmed.

2. Orders

When you place an order, you agree to provide accurate billing, payment and shipping information.

After placing an order, you will receive an order confirmation by email. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order if there is an error, suspected fraud, payment issue, stock issue, or another valid reason. If we cancel an order after payment has been made, we will refund you.

Orders are intended for personal use and not for commercial resale, unless agreed with us in writing.

3. Prices and payment

All prices are shown in euros. Unless stated otherwise, prices include applicable VAT.

Shipping costs, if applicable, are shown during checkout before you place your order.

Payment is handled through Shopify and/or our payment providers, such as Mollie. We do not store your full payment details.

4. Shipping and delivery

We ship orders to the countries listed during checkout.

Estimated delivery times are shown for guidance only and are not guaranteed. Delays may occur due to postal services, carriers, customs, weather, holidays, or other circumstances outside our control.

For shipments outside the European Union, customs duties, taxes or import fees may apply. These costs are the responsibility of the customer.

5. Returns and refunds

Consumers in the European Union have the right to cancel and return an online order within 14 days after receiving it, without giving a reason.

For regular returns, return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer, unless the product arrived damaged, defective or incorrect. EU consumer guidance also allows return postage to be charged to the customer when this is clearly stated before purchase.

6. Damaged or incorrect orders

Please inspect your order when it arrives.

If your order is damaged, defective, incomplete, or incorrect, contact us as soon as possible at jasper.rh@gmail.com with your order number and photos of the issue. We will evaluate the issue and offer a suitable solution, such as a replacement or refund.

7. Intellectual property

All content on this website, including photography, text, design, graphics, logos and product images, belongs to De Vuurtoren rond, its makers, or its licensors, unless stated otherwise.

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, publish or commercially use any content from this website without prior written permission.

8. Privacy

We process personal information only as needed to operate the store, process orders, arrange shipping, handle customer service and comply with legal obligations.

Because our store is powered by Shopify, Shopify may also process personal information as part of providing the store and checkout.

9. Third-party services

Our website and checkout may use third-party services, including Shopify, Mollie, shipping providers, analytics tools and embedded content.

We are not responsible for the content, policies or practices of third-party websites or services outside our control.

10. Errors and changes

Occasionally, information on the website may contain errors, inaccuracies or omissions, including in product descriptions, prices, availability, shipping costs or delivery estimates.

We reserve the right to correct errors and update information. If an error affects an order you have already placed, we will contact you and, where appropriate, offer the option to confirm or cancel the order.

Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory consumer rights.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect losses, delays outside our control, or losses caused by incorrect information provided by the customer, such as an incorrect shipping address.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by Dutch law.

If you are a consumer living in the European Union, you may also have rights under the mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence.
